Let me start off by saying these are artists I think deserve some consideration and I haven't seen on any lists yet.

Vocalist - Jeff Tate (Queensryche) The dude can hit the basement or soar. He has control, conviction and damn the man has power too. Not much he can't sing.
Ben Burnley (Breaking Benjamin) - I like the diversity of this guys vocals. Scream or melody.

Guitarist - I personally have so many to list here it's madness. I haven't read every post here but in the many I have I have not seen any mention of Mark Knopfler(Dire Straights not to mention more colaborations then you can shake a drumstick at), David Gilmore (Pink Floyd) melodic atomospheric sound, are amongst my favorites.

Andy Summers (The Police) who in my opinion was one of the best live jam guitarists of all time.

Bassist - I am beyond disappointed in anyone who plays, listens or appreciates this instrument that Jaco Pastorious wasn't even hinted at. They guy played whole 7 and 8 minutes songs never coming out of 16 and 32nd notes, talk about stamina. He mastered the harmonics that most bassists now don't know can be done on this instrument and he had a brilliant ability to improvise and vocalize with the bass more then most vocalist can do with their voice. It is ashame that he passed so young and that he has been lost in the wave of bassists that where so profoundly influenced by him. Flea idolized the guy as well as many of the greats. Ask any professional bassist from 1975' on who was the best and chances are they are gonna say Jaco.
Honorable mention - Flea, Les Claypool, Stanley Clarke, Larry Graham, I guess I'll stop there. I play bass so I know this instrument and my founding fathers pretty well.

Drums - I gotta be honest I grew up listening to the Police so I have to mention Stewart Copeland. Danny Carry (Tool) driven primal and consistent, Mike Shriev (Sanatana) takes one hell of a improvational drummer to hang with Sanatana live. None of his songs are played the same way twice, Ginger Baker (Cream)takes a pretty good drummer to be able to hang with Clapton.

Like I said not that some of the other listed aren't arguable the best but I thought these folks deserved a mention.

<Added>

Vocalist Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam. I don't know how I forgot about this guy but I like his raw energy. Black and Garden are two incredible and passionate vocals. Check em out.

Haha, these are making me laugh so hard.

Vocals: Freddie Mercury, Geoff Tate
I'm gonna try and set a precedent by justifying my answers. Mercury and Tate have near a 4 octave vocal range, with incredible power and control. Not many come close.

Guitar: Jimmy Page...NOT. Page is overrated to DEATH in terms of skill, as much as I love Zeppelin. So is Hendrix, he's the greatest, but nowhere NEAR the most skilled. Steve Vai or Jeff Beck.

Bass: Victor Wooten or Greg Lake. Entwhistle is probably the most influential: he made bass a lead instrument, not just something to maintain rhythm.

Drums: Terry Bozzio or Carl Palmer. Peart is actually close behind skillwise, and more influential to boot, but I assumed this applied to skill.

Keyboard: Chick Corea, Keith Emerson, or Rick Wakeman.

Cmon people, please use less bias, and try to know a thing or two about music theory when judging the best of the best.
