You are very wrong mate, the bands that you mentioned are very very far away from being legends. Their commercial music is destroying rock, as it used to be.
What about Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, ACDC the greatest rock band of all times, a legend, the greatest in history of mankind..., think about this.

Ac Dc is not the greatest band ever my friend. The greatest is either The Who, or Led Zeppelin.

i agree with steve in one account saying that the who are the gretest rock band of all time but i prefer ac/dc over led zepp

First of all lets get one thing straight to even put a band like Linkin Park and Limp Bizkit on LEgends or even best bands of all time is ridiculous. Heres my list based on talent alone

1. Beatles (Every song released became and instant radio hit by the four`s musical and lyrical Genius)
2. Grateful Dead (Jerry Garcia is debated to be one of the greatest guitar players of all time. The Grateful Dead were the first real Jam Bands stretching there songs over an hour.)
3. Jimi Hendrix Experience ( Jimi Hendrix is considered one of or the best guitarist of all time. He revolutionized how rock was played. Took the use of distortion to a whole nother level.)
4. Cream and Eric Clapton (Eric Clapton was a musical genius. He also is considered one of the greatest guitarists of all time.

Men Men! Please! You are forgetting the true greatest rock band of all time. GUNS N` ROSES!! DUH! and what about Van Halen, Def Lepperd, and black sabbath. Oh and if you want some real rock these days, you might want to look at The darkness or Velvet revolver.
