Hello All! I`m a senior at Berklee College of Music and my final Research project is on "The development of Opera from the classical era through the Romantic era."

I have to gather information from 3 amature musicians and 3 professional musicians. The question they have to answer is:

Discuss the development of opera from the Classical era through the romantic era with specific reference to 3 changes in terms of character development, story, use of orchestra, melody, harmony, texture, motiving/thematic development.

I will greatly appreciate any input you have on this subject.

I think u can mention about the `weberian` influence and the use of dense dim 7th during the romantic period, and the shift of character stereotypes from earthly beings to Divine characters.
