im composing for a piano concerto, and i was wondering if i play the note C on the piano, then what note would it be for all the over instruments so they all sound the same.

It would be the note that the instruments are labeled.

For example, if you play a C on the piano, a B-flat trumpet would play C, but it would sound like B-flat.

The instrument`s label is optional- you can just write the music in the actual key and include a note to indicate that[s what you did. Hey, write me- I compose, too.
